Recently Idaho State Legislators have allowed for a considerable opening of wold hunting opportunities in our are through the use of “expanded hunting methods.” We strongly encourage hunters to purchase a wolf tag for every hunt we provide just in case the opportunity presents itself. Dedicated wolf hunts take place from November – December primarily using 4×4 vehicles and snowmobiles. Our hunts will take place solely on National Forest grounds, deep in the backcountry of Idaho. There is no limit on wolves you may harvest, you may not take more wolves than the number of legal tags you possess. We offer one amazing method to hunt wolves:
Trapline Adventure – – – This is one of the most effective ways to harvest a wolf. Granite Peak Outfitters LLC has hired one of the most successful trappers Idaho & Montana has to offer. Come with us to run with a licensed guide and certified trapper on a trapline that will teach you how to be successful at trapping wolves and many other critters! Our trapper harvests many critters year after year, and is extremely successful. Our trapline is dedicated to trapping wolves, but will also give you the likely opportunity to experience coyote, fox, bobcat, pine martin, mink, muskrat, beaver, and river otter. 1 fur per species harvested is included in adventure price, anything more must be bought and approved by our trapper at current market prices.
