Recently Idaho State Legislators have allowed for a considerable opening of wold hunting opportunities in our are through the use of “expanded hunting methods.” We strongly encourage hunters to purchase a wolf tag for every hunt we provide just in case the opportunity presents itself. Dedicated wolf hunts take place from November – December primarily using 4×4 vehicles and snowmobiles. Our hunts will take place solely on National Forest grounds, deep in the backcountry of Idaho. There is no limit on wolves you may harvest, you may not take more wolves than the number of legal tags you possess. We offer one amazing method to hunt wolves:
Wolf Calling Hunt
The season starts for us November 1st and runs through the end of December. We like hunting wolves when snow hits the ground, which allows us to pattern wolf packs in our area to better provide a successful hunt. The objective is to locate packs of wolves and stay downwind of them while calling. Another successful method is to locate wolf kills and areas they like to frequent to increase the chances of a shot opportunity for our hunters. There is nothing quite like the sound of a wolf pack howling back at you and coming into your calls!
